Diegetic And Non-Diegetic

Diegetic and non-diegetic are two more components what need to be considered when talking about sound... Despite being able to have both in a scene they are very different. Down below I will go into what diegetic and non-diegetic sound is more.

Diegetic;

Diegetic sound is where there is a added sound that is made to be perceived from the scenes world for instance a sound coming from a object or a person on scene.

Non-Diegetic;

Non-diegetic is the opposite of diegetic, its where a sound can be heard that isn't from the scenes universe that is playing for instance maybe some music over a fight scene but there isn't any objects in the scene that could be perceived as playing music.

Diegetic also has two forms of sound... there is external and internal diegetic sounds;

External Diegetic;

A sound that is in the world what all characters in the scene can hear.
